885 Have you been to any ruins?

Katia from Mexico talks about visiting ruins. This video supplements lesson #885 on elllo.org that has Diego from Mexico and Rebecca from Australia comparing things to do in their countries.

What about you?

Hi, Katia
Ankor Wat, i haven't been to it, but i've heard and seen it on TV or internet. it's beautiful and exotic place i think. especially the trees which is destroying the buildings make me feel how weak human in front of nature. people in the past spend much time and effort to build those buildings and temples, but the only trees can destroy all those human's greatness. We human being have to respect Nature. We are just weak small creatures in great Nature.

Hi, people
Ruins can be such beautiful places! I am from Argentina, and here we have the ruins of the Jesuitic missions in the northern province of Misiones. It is amazing that many have been "invaded" by plants and even fully grown trees, the same as "anonymous" says in her comment. But this makes them even more beautiful and colourful. Another striking feature is the silence around them. It's as if time had stopped ticking.
